Public Information Request 

The City Secretary's Office oversees all requests for public records. Under the Texas Public Information Act, residents have the right to access most records created or maintained by the City of Snyder.

The Public Information Act does not require the City to create new information, do legal research, or to answer questions. We make every effort to respond to requests quickly, clearly, and in full compliance with state law.

How to Submit a Request

All public information requests must be submitted in writing. To help us process your request, please include as much detail as possible such as names, dates, addresses, or keywords. Your request must include enough description and detail of the requested information so the City can accurately identify and locate the requested items.

Many commonly requested records are available by searching our website through the search tool. Certain records may be exempt from release under state law, including attorney-client communications, confidential personnel information, and active law enforcement records.
