Snyder Fire Department
The Snyder Fire Department has proudly served the Snyder and Scurry County community for more than 100 years. Established on April 15, 1911, the department began as a combination of paid and volunteer firefighters and continues that tradition of service today.
The City of Snyder Fire Department is made up of 12 full-time career firefighters who work closely with the Snyder Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., a nonprofit organization of approximately 35 dedicated volunteers. Together, these teams respond to an average of 675 fire and rescue calls each year, providing fire protection, emergency response, and lifesaving services to our community.
