City of Snyder/Scurry County Office of Emergency Management Public Notice
January 7, 2025
Due to the anticipated cold temperatures and possible wet weather expected to impact our area on Wednesday and Thursday, the Office of Emergency Management will be opening two (2) Warming Centers. These centers will be available to provide a warm and safe space for those in need of shelter from the cold.
If the demand for additional warming spaces arises, we will open more centers at that time. We encourage community members who need a warm place to sit and relax to take advantage of these centers.
Please note that these centers are not intended for overnight stays. They will remain open during the day and may close once conditions improve.
We will be closely monitoring the weather, and we will keep the public updated on any changes or additional resources that may become available.
