Weather permitting (rain or high winds) the City of Snyder will begin spraying for mosquitoes at dusk Monday June 30th. The area west of College Avenue will be sprayed on Monday, and the area east of College Ave will be sprayed on Tuesday, July 1st. The Green Hill Addition (North of Huffman Avenue), Hermleigh, Fluvanna, and Ira will be sprayed on Wednesday, July 2nd. City and County officials remind residents to help control the mosquito population, by cutting tall weeds, emptying any containers of standing, or stagnant water, removing old tires, etc.... The city plans to spray every two weeks during the summer months to help control the mosquito population.
