VIP Sports Getaway is proud to announce International Country Music Star, and Grammy Award winner, Clint Black will be headlining the first annual Fourth of July Concert Series Celebration, on Friday July 3rd at the Coliseum in Snyder, Texas, brought to you by Wilson Motors, with Country Music Star Deryl Dodd, Texas Country Music star Phil Hamilton and up and coming Texas County Music artist Zach Edwards.
Clint Black has one of the most storied careers in modern music. Clint Black surged to superstardom as part of the fabled Class of '89, reaching #1 with five consecutive singles from his triple-platinum debut, Killin' Time. He followed that with the triple-platinum Put Yourself in My Shoes, and then a string of platinum and gold albums throughout the '90s. Along the way, Clint has sold over 20 million records, earned more than a dozen gold and platinum awards in the U.S. and Canada, landed nearly two dozen major awards and nominations, including more than a dozen GRAMMY nominations, and earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Texas born musician, singer, songwriter and producer, Deryl Dodd, AKA “The Double D”, has had a long and colorful career, including stops as lead guitar player and background vocals singer for Martina McBride. Deryl signed his first recording contract with Sony Music in 1995, releasing his debut album, ONE RIDE IN VEGAS. This critically acclaimed album produced his first hit single, “That’s How I Got to Memphis”. His second album, self-titled, DERYL DODD, produced the national hit, “A Bitter End”. PEARL SNAPS, his third album, with the first single and title track, “Pearl Snaps”, reached number one on the newly created Texas music chart. In 2009 Dodd recorded a new album, TOGETHER AGAIN that produced three top five hits and a chart topping number one. Following the excitement of this album, Deryl went back in the studio to record his latest, RANDOM AS I AM, released July 2011. His first single, “Baby Where’s My Bottle”, topped the Texas music charts.
The Concert will also feature up and coming Texas Country Music star Phil Hamilton, Phil’s debut CD, Nothing to Lose, was released in 2009 and achieved impressive success, charting two singles in the Top 15 on the Texas charts. That same year he was voted one of the Top Three New Country Bands in Texas by the listeners of 95.9 The Ranch and by 2010 he was playing nearly 200 shows a year.
The VIP Pre Party will feature up and coming Texas Country Music Artist Zach Edwards. Zach Edwards was raised in Big Lake, Texas, where he was exposed to plenty of George Strait, Waylon Jennings and AC/DC. His hard-driving & edgy sound combines different styles of country and rock, making Zach's "Cowboy Crew" CD a strong style of Texas Country Music.
