The 1-229th Aviation Regiment is moving to Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington State and is taking 10 AH-64 Apaches and 6 UH-60 Blackhawks with it.
The regiment is an attack reconnaissance battalion based at Fort Hood but assigned to the 16th Combat Aviation Brigade at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
They stopped in Snyder at Winston Field for fuel. We will inform everyone next time they stop in. Come and show your support for our soldiers.
