These University of Texas students will ride their bikes from Austin, TX to Anchorage, AK in order to raise awareness and money for cancer research. Yes, folks, that is 4000+ miles of riding a bicycle. They do it because they have all been affected, in some way, by cancer.
Please show your support for these students and join them as they share their story. They will give their presentation around 7:00 PM at the Scurry County Coliseum. That is the opening day for the Western Swing Festival and admission is FREE!
So bring your neighbors and come out to hear good news from Texas 4000 and good music from the artists.
There is also an opportunity for those who like to ride their bikes to join the riders as they ride into town. We will meet the riders at 2:30 PM at the convenience store on highway 84 in Hermleigh. For more information about the ride, please call Dana at 512-695-6846.
